“The drawing of a parallel between cartography and architecture is instructive. Each lies in the field of the practical arts; each is older than history; and each, since its beginnings, has been more or less under the control of its consumers.” ~ Arthur H. Robinson
Vice Chair
“I’ve always been fascinated by maps and cartography. A map tells you where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re going — in a sense it’s three tenses in one.” ~ Peter Greenaway

Improving our designs skills, Mapping and CAD in general is important to keep us on track with professional skills needed in the job market. To help one another grow, we have several interactive sessions during meetings
to upgrade our skills in Mapping and designs.
To achieve our objectives as a team, club members are supposed to at least work on one mega project per semester. This projects aim at solving a given problem within the club, school, community around.
AGGES without members then it doesn't' deserve to exist as a club. Anyone from GEGIS department is allowed to take part in our meetings. We also welcome anyone willing to learn and partner with us to unlock insight
about The Science of Where as stated by ESRI.
Technological revolution has also seen its effect in GIS mapping and Remote Sensing. We are therefore committed and highly collaborative to matters programming. Programming languages we deal with include: Python, C, C++,
R programming, Java, javascript and many more.
This is very important part to our club. The Alumni get chance to give back to the club through special organized sessions .They therefore work closely with our team to help our members gain insight about current trends
in job the market and create room for networking.
